Product Description

🔹 Product Overview
Adfrar 40 mg Injection contains Adalimumab 40 mg, a fully human monoclonal antibody and tumor necrosis factor-alpha (TNF-α) inhibitor used to treat several chronic autoimmune and inflammatory conditions. It is used in conditions such as rheumatoid arthritis, psoriatic arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, plaque psoriasis, Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis.
Adalimumab works by binding to and neutralizing TNF-α, an inflammatory protein involved in autoimmune inflammation. Adfrar is administered by subcutaneous injection and is available in prefilled syringe presentations.

🔹 Composition
Active Ingredient: Adalimumab
Strength: 40 mg
Presentation: 40 mg/0.8 mL prefilled syringe
Dosage Form: Solution for injection
Route: Subcutaneous injection
Therapeutic Class: TNF-α inhibitor / Immunosuppressant

🔹 Uses And Indications
Adfrar may be used for:
Rheumatoid arthritis
Juvenile idiopathic arthritis
Psoriatic arthritis
Ankylosing spondylitis
Plaque psoriasis
Crohn's disease
Ulcerative colitis
Hidradenitis suppurativa in appropriate patients
The specific indication, dose and treatment duration depend on the patient's age, condition, disease severity and response to treatment.

🔹 How It Works
Adalimumab is a fully human monoclonal antibody that binds to TNF-α and blocks its interaction with cell-surface TNF receptors. By inhibiting TNF-α activity, it reduces excessive inflammatory signaling and helps control inflammation associated with autoimmune diseases.

🔹 Key Benefits
Helps reduce chronic inflammation associated with autoimmune diseases.
Helps relieve symptoms such as pain, swelling and stiffness in inflammatory joint disorders.
Helps control inflammatory activity in Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis.
Helps reduce inflammatory skin lesions associated with plaque psoriasis.
Provides targeted TNF-α inhibition through a biologic therapy.
Available as a 40 mg/0.8 mL prefilled injectable presentation.

🔹 Dosage And Administration
The usual adult regimen for several inflammatory conditions is 40 mg subcutaneously every other week, although dosing varies according to the indication. Certain conditions may require an initial loading regimen or a different schedule.
Before starting treatment, patients should be appropriately evaluated for infections, including tuberculosis, according to clinical guidelines. The injection should be administered subcutaneously and should not be given intravenously.

🔹 Possible Side Effects
Adfrar may cause:
Injection-site pain, redness or swelling
Upper respiratory tract infections
Sinus inflammation
Headache
Rash
Nausea
Fatigue
Mild infections
Because adalimumab suppresses TNF-mediated immune responses, serious infections can occur, including tuberculosis and other opportunistic infections.

🔹 Precautions And Warnings
Use only under appropriate specialist medical supervision.
Patients should be evaluated for tuberculosis and other serious infections before and during treatment.
Do not start treatment during an active serious infection unless specifically advised by the treating physician.
Inform the doctor about recurrent infections, tuberculosis exposure, hepatitis B, or other significant infections.
Live vaccines should generally be avoided during treatment unless specifically recommended by the treating physician.
Inform the doctor about any history of heart failure, demyelinating disorders, blood disorders or malignancy.
Patients should seek medical attention for persistent fever, severe cough, unexplained weight loss or other signs of serious infection.
Tell the healthcare professional about all medicines being taken, particularly other biologic medicines or immunosuppressive therapies.
Pregnancy and breastfeeding should be discussed with the treating physician before treatment.

🔹 Storage
