Caspogin 50 mg Injection is a prescription antifungal medicine containing Caspofungin 50 mg. It is marketed by Cipla Ltd.
Caspofungin belongs to the echinocandin class of antifungal medicines.
It is supplied as a lyophilized powder for intravenous infusion in a single-dose vial.

Treatment of invasive candidiasis and candidemia
Treatment of esophageal candidiasis
Management of certain intra-abdominal Candida infections
Used for invasive aspergillosis in patients who are refractory to or intolerant of other therapies
May also be used as empirical antifungal therapy in selected high-risk patients with persistent fever.

Caspofungin is provided as caspofungin acetate equivalent to 50 mg caspofungin.

Caspofungin inhibits β-(1,3)-D-glucan synthesis, an important component of the fungal cell wall.
